3 Good Sites
behance.net
This site can conclude with two words, simple and neat. With these two things it turns out to be an elegant platform to interact. And yet it contains huge contents for people but the site is humble, everything is organized so it is necessary to sort out the photos, illustration or other files you want. And you could just randomly surf around if you don’t have anything particular to look at.
bmwusa.com
This is definitely an excellent site to look at because it has videos on the home page. When people first get into the site the video becomes an appetizer for them to start with. And everything you try to click on the bar it always has previews next to the arrow, which makes the site more easy to navigate. In addition, the use of active white space and the size of the font are appropriate so makes it very comfortable to look at those information.
adobe.com
This is another well-designed site. Perhaps everybody knows what the company does so it doesn’t contain heavy amount of pictures or advertisements. Instead it uses some icons to associate with the products they sell.
3 Bad Sites
stateuniversity.com
This website is a quite busy one to look at since it has lots of information. It is sort of a good thing to hear but the page has contained too many different typefaces, and they are not in a proper scale therefore the visual hierarchy is affected and bothers readers' eyes. Moreover, readers may have to type in keywords to search first in order to obtain information, if not it may seem not worthy to surf around and may make readers feel weird when it is the first time for them to get into.
4chan.org
This site is just contains so much text and too little pictures on the home page. Readers may lose their interest when they perform their browsing activity. Also the way of the design looks amateurish since there is almost no ornaments around, in other words something aesthetic is missing.
4icu.org
This site seems "outdated" because the design implies that the creator has created this site for a long time ago, like a decade ago. It looks like he/she didn't make any changes to meet up with the ever-changing styles and trends in websites. It is a stone-age site that is done with a previous generation engine, perhaps an older version of web design program.
